I Wish

My love has two faces
The smile was took
Laughter blinded the sadness
I wouldn't listen to his cries
Believed they were mere echoes
I wish they had deafened me
How I just keep wishing

I met his sad self
It was hurt, alien, unmasked
That burning drink woke it
My love couldn't quench it
And now I wish, I wish I wish

I wish I had never know him
I wish the echoes had faded
I wish I had heard
I wish I could cry this pain out
I wish my song was louder than his echo

I wish the day to be still
The waves to be loud
And all echoes to be quiet forever

I wish my love
That you are free
