I Wish

I wish I could use public restrooms without being afraid. I wish I wasn't uncomfortable in my body. I wish I wasn't assigned female at birth. I wish others would use my correct name and pronouns. I wish people would see that there's more to me than just a label. I wish I had a supportive family. I wish I didn't live in rural missouri. I wish my peers would be more kind. I wish my country wasn't so against my existence . I wish others would not see seven years of being out as ¨just a phase¨. I wish I could be me. Unapologetically me.
