I Will Not Give Up

Images burn inside my head All that we were... All that we could have been... And all that we are now... Nothing more than friends at best And now I'm left with nothing more Than a tower of pain crashing over my chest Looking back I can not help but to smile I do not regret a single moment spent We would walk hand in hand Lather in the lust that we shared But now the what ifs remain And now I can not sleep or eat The movie plays repeatedly through my brain It was a tale of a man who waited patiently And was given all he ever wanted Only for it to eventually walk away But as with most, this tale has yet to end There was once potential in me just being a friend I will never ease to our goodbye'ing But if all does not go well I could easily die trying
