I Will Never Go Away

It was exactly one month ago
When God called me to come home
And though I could not understand
I know now of His great plan.

He wanted me to be His angel
To look upon all the faithful
Telling them please don't be sad
My life was great not at all bad.

I ask you all to look inside
To think of me with love and pride
As I have always thought of you.
I hope my love for you all came through

The future for you all is bright
Filled with joy and love and life.
Do your very best each day
For I am not ever far away.

I am in your heart, your memories too
I am in your soul guiding you through
I am in your tears helping them dry away
I am in your smile sharing your day.

I am in that hug you gave your child
I was there when you went wild
I was listening as you prayed
I will never go away.

You must always do your best
To bring each other happiness
To honor me by living boldly
There is no need to ever be lonely

Reach out to help one another
Think of me as a big brother
There to bring you good advice
Good works perhaps to entice.

I must now say goodbye to you
For I have so much to do
I will live in you forever
Our bonds of love cannot be severed.
