I Will Keep On Trying
I WILL KEEP ON TRYING
Each day I sit and ponder
Letting my thoughts just wander
Well back into the time
When I began my words to rhyme
I thought then that I was a poet
But I was terrible and did not know it
But I kept on writing anyway
Hoping I would be better one day
But I knew deep down in my heart
That I would never master the art
But I knew that I never would
Because to be a poet you had to be good
But I keep on writing even today
Because bad or good the words just wouldn’t go away
But I thank all of you who write good poetry
For all these years you put up with me
So I’ll keep try with all my might
One day a good poem to write.
