I Will Always Be Me

I don’t have a lot of friends and some who isn't true
Some use me, some don’t care, even gossip about me too
But through all that no matter what was done to me by who
I always keep telling myself “never ever stop being you”

I’ll go out of my way for all, though they hardly ever see
But that will not ever keep me from always being me
I have lost so many friends for whom I truly cared
And just like that they decide to no longer being there

I don’t let their negativity affect me
The nasty words that may come from thee
What now and forever they will see
Is that I will always be me

The saying go: “you lose some you win some”
Who is meant to be in my life will come
Be unkind and don’t appreciate too
I can live my life without all of you
But one thing is for sure and all of you will see 
That no matter how hard you push me down
I am always gonna be me.

And to those who isn't true, I don’t need you anyway 
‘Cause the ones who love me dearest is the ones who get to stay
And to all who don’t appreciate, what I do for thee
Know that I will always be me 
And today from you I set me free
