I Will

Slowly a mind builds, but quickly it falls. A time spent idling, cowering behind these walls. Could you muster the strength, the courage to peel through? My story told in length, how did it not scare you? Everything I had, meant nothing anymore. Everything To gain, I’m desperately fighting for. I’m waiting by the clock, watching as time slips by. I know it’s a lot, a lot of work to do. I’m working non-stop, I promise this true. A shattering silence, a heart filled with violence. A song that played so long ago, rings out. I’m following the path, a student devout. Now show me, am I good enough to be gained? Now show me, the broken hearts we pained. There was no option, only one choice. I agreed, but could no summon a voice. I cannot enter discreetly, for I’m trying so hard. A process once started, follows a mind that’s scarred. A progress hidden behind a screen, a soul withering to touch. I’ve been gone for too long, you’ve endured too much. Promises said, but nothing shown. Yet I’m coming for you, a heart that’s grown. I will wait, through it all. I will wait, damning this fall.
