I Went Against the Stream and Lost

I went against the stream and self,
I saw me tired, laden, and lost.
I carried the water uphill;
I went against the stream and self;
Alas, it flowed to the lower shelf!
Oh stream, i am so very cross!
I went against the stream and self,
I saw me tired, laden, and lost.

I have spent and wasted a lot of time going against the stream. Now I have learned to go with the flow. Congratulations on your winning poem.

Yes, Brenda, when we go with the flow we also honor life and nature. :)) Thanks for the visit and congratulations!
