I Watch
I watch this earth as the days go by.
I watch you laugh, and I watch you cry.
I watch you live and I watch you die.
I watch my children as they come and go.
I watch you all, but you shall never know.
I watch as babies take first steps.
I watch as the dying take last breaths.
I watch the seas, as tides ebb and flow.
I watch the forests as the saplings grow.
I watch the ice plain as it melts away.
I watch the dolphins as they leap and play.
I wish to touch and I wish to feel.
I wish to show that I am real.
But that is something I can never do.
Alas, I must stand alone..... and watch over you.
