I Wasn'T Born In Lincoln

I wasn’t born in Lincoln
But my mama named me so
My name is Lincoln Tatum
It’s a name you ought to know

I can’t read or write or spell
I can’t even speak or add
But I’m really quite charming
And I got that from my dad

That’s how he wooed my mama
Won her heart, her love so dear
He charmed her right to heaven
And that’s just how I got here

I wasn’t born in Lincoln
But my mama named me so
My name is Lincoln Tatum
It’s a name that you now know
