I Was Killed 7 of 11
Boyfriend dumped you I gave you a hug,
made an effort to help you cope,
the reasons for dumping showed he’s no mug,
still I helped showing you hope.
We talked a lot when you first started
though it was a stripped of people department,
as staff were hired we’d talk less and parted,
but that wasn’t intentional no harm meant.
A complaint letter to reception only stated your name,
in an act of deception the whole department got the blame,
you were the boss, it about you, but you didn’t take responsibility,
and I didn’t hide a disgusted response you’d see in me.
Everyday stood in reception watching a spring in your step,
as that finger pointed me in to the office,
and there you’d be with the evidence prepped,
always invalid but your intentions so obvious.
People would say, “I think she’s got it in for you”.
She’s investigating rumours she thinks are true.
See, everyday I stood in the lobby,
watching my boss whom never got me,
always investigating random rumours,
never proving them cus they’re for losers.
And I’d be in this war along while,
winning battle after battle in style,
but though I was winning it killed my smile,
cus her sick vile mind would go mile after mile.
And though I was laughing it off as comical,
I knew what was coming and felt horrible,
she was just out to get me and there was nothing I could do,
I had no one to help me, imagine this happening to you.
Friends doubted me said I’d lied and make jokes,
other staff saw as a story of this bloke,
family made me wish I had never spoke,
if it was you against the world on a slippery slope
how do you think you would cope?
It was everyday for at least 18 months and I was winning everyday,
intelligence and awareness saw victories come my way,
but staff left and new staff would hear slander she’d say,
and so people thought less of me changing the play.
What would you do with no one if this happened to you?
Become the opposite personality and character as I did do?
see I was a happy confident caring person with humour in 2005,
by 2008 I was beaten, depressed and wondering why I was alive.
I'm not just talking about one incident one day,
it's about someone going intentionally out their way,
targeting you obsessing becoming ever more nasty,
until you're so effected you're a different personality.
12 years later I'm never the same again,
how different would your life be if someone targeted you?
