I Wanted To
I wanted to fly
but someone ripped off my wings...
I wanted to shine in the light
but someone put the lights out...
I wanted to walk over long distances
but someone took away the land beneath my legs...
I wanted to write
but someone slipped away my pen...
I wanted to climb up
but someone pulled me down...
I wondered who was that
Then one day I found that
“that someone was you”
Someone whom I loved...
Someone who was my life...
Someone who was my soul...
I wanted to be with you
but you backed off…
I wanted to live
but you took away my breath...
I wanted to love
but you ripped off my heart into pieces…
