I Want To Be a Thief

I want to be a thief, to pilfer rob and steal
I want to be found guilty, given time to reflect and heal

I want to be locked up in a solitary cell
I want to be left alone to stare into the depths of hell

I want to be set free in an ocean far away
Drifting into the blue yonder day after day after day

I want to leap off a building and plummet to the ground
I want to be buried and never ever found

I want to be a wrecking ball and destroy all future dreams
I want to be a raging torrent to devour the rivers and streams

I want to be the storm that hits in the middle of the night
With deafening huge thunderbolts and destructive lightning strikes

I want to be a nuisance, to scream and shout out loud
And tell the world what’s happened to the newly gathered crowd

I want to be a conjurer to deceive and change what’s true
I want to be an illusionist and magic back you

To hear your voice and hold you tight would take away my grief
Can anyone hear my plea?
I want to I be that thief!
