I Want For Christmas

“I Want” For Christmas By Rick Rucker I have heard, a thousand times, What everyone wants, in prose and rhymes, One man said designer socks, What about the guy living in a box? Another said he wanted a party, Why not for the homeless, a meal hearty? One lady wants a car with bow, Can we find a home where the cruel wind won’t blow? Christmas can be the cruelest thing, As it is months from Spring. We focus on what we think we lack, Try lying flat on your back, In the life-sapping snow, With nowhere else to go! This year, do something to ease someone's pain, ‘Til the warmth comes back again!
