I Wander

I wander once upon a sullen night and stop in a tree to rest my weary body The compassionate embrace of the trunk in my back Somehow warms me against that freezing memory Thinking it over will only sway that sharp blade Into my already wounded heart Whom time can't even heal The oak tree understands me For many a years he witness that kind of weight Carried by a trapped soul like me The night's silver lamp above lessen the thick sorrows inside By thawing it with her light Her looks filled with empathy shivers and softens me As if she's sorry For seeing my gloomy heart Just like the way She dimly sees things at night Fresh breeze from the dark Dilutes the smoke Curling darkly in my mind Crickets in the night help to cry my heart out And I can't help to put my gaze above To listen to the language of the twinkling stars Where they loudly speak; "Hope remains, While the heart is still throbbing!"

What a very vivid, piece this is Juan! I really enjoyed the imagery and personification you used here--especially that stanza about the "night's silver lamp"--very creatively done and if I may say so, I'd be more than honored to be a spirit sibling-- just have to correct you though--I'd have to be a "spirit sister" ;) it's wonderful that we share the same sentiments about some things -- thank you again for all your comments in my poems-- nikko :)
