I Walk Beside You

I walk 
beside you
We walk 
	Together
Alone

On the same path to the 
Known and 
	Unknown

Holding each other
As close as
We can

Hand in hand
Into the eternal
Twilight

And those who stand on
Both left and right 
Of the path 
Might well watch 
	From a distance
Amazed and in awe of 
What the saw
	And still see

The you and the me
Together
	Forever
