I Walk Alone

I WALK ALONE
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

I Walk Alone on this Unexplored Path
Fate Torments Me with Pain Filled Wrath
There Is No Sunrise: There Is No Dawn
I, a Helpless Creature: a Passive Pawn
Agony Diffuses Me, What Is It I Owe?
Is There Any Jubilation for Me to Know?
Have I Been Cursed, for an Unpaid Crime?
With Endless Mountains for Me to Climb

Challenges Constantly, Erode My Will
With Tortuous Tasks, I must Fulfill
I Lack the Ability to Exit the Abyss
I Welcome the Day of the Final Kiss
This Painful Journey Must End Someday
With Nary a Mention, I Passed this Way
