I Visited a Bank
I walked into the bank.-Head held high;
prepared to make a statement.
Waiting behind the velvet rope,- I mope.
-exhausting patience.
Waiting for the old to finish counting and the bold to step up.
In a daze, I begin to sleep walk. - Entering another world.
The ceiling turns to sky.- Tranquil lullabies;
beaming sounds assault my cranium and I find I'm in the clouds.
-Dancing;
I awake with constant nagging; badgering in my ear:
"It's your turn buddy, get your butt over there."
I step up to the counter, stare at the cashier;
My mouth wide open,Screaming!
"I wish to withdraw some oxygen!"
Then I leave.
