I Try

I try and try to prove myself to you, The more and more I do. You show me the real you. The crazy, fat, ugly bastard you are: You are not even man enough, To buy your significant other a car. Why do I love you so abundantly? To you, I reach my hand out, And you don’t even come to me. I hope that someone eventually, Treat you as awfully as you treat me. I thought that you would support me by far, But all you want me to do support you. I keep flying to you like a loving lark, Hoping that something in our hearts would spark. I’m already yours even though, You don’t want or deserve me. I know that you will wish You never treated me this way Just wait and see. Someone is going to hurt your cold heart On your quest of the world’s mean, cold, streets.

Sad but well written poem. How hard it must be to love someone and not have the other love you back. Everything has a beginning, whether it is love or hate, birth or death. Everything has an ending the question is how long will unrequited love exist? A. W. Nutter www.freewebs.com/abcedit
