I Tried And I Cried
I tried, I tried
To stop loving you
I cried, I cried
For being too crazy about you.
You never loved me
You take me for granted
You thought I was demented
You never cared for me
Yet, my love for you
Was unconditional
And over-sentimental
I was too naïve with you.
I tried, I tried
And lost sleep in vain
I was always in pain
I cried, I cried
Like I was insane
Because of the terrible pain.
I tried unsuccessfully
I cried occasionally
How I failed miserably
To win your heart
I felt profoundly hurt
I was bleeding profusely
Internally
And eternally.

J'ai essayé, j'ai essayé
De cesser de t'aimer
À cause de tes mépris
J'ai pleuré, j'ai pleuré
Pour toi, j’ai été affolé.
Tu ne m'as jamais aimé
Tu m’as pris pour acquis
Tu m’as pris pour un aliéné
Tu ne te soucies jamais de moi
Pourtant, mon amour pour toi
Était inconditionnel
Et trop sentimental
J'ai été trop naïf en face de toi.
J'ai essayé, j'ai essayé
Et j'ai perdu en vain le sommeil
J'ai eu toujours mal au réveil
J'ai pleuré, j'ai pleuré
Comme si j'étais un vieil albatros
La douleur m’était atroce à toute force.
J’ai essayé sans succès. J’ai essayé
J'ai pleuré de temps en temps
J'ai lamentablement échoué
Pour gagner ton cœur de diamant
J'ai été profondément blessé
Et j’ai saigné abondamment
Intérieurement
Et éternellement.

Lo intenté, lo intenté
Para dejar de amarte
Lloré, lloré
Por estar demasiado loco por ti.
Tú nunca me amaste
Me das por sentado
Pensaste que estaba demente
Nunca te preocupaste por mí
Sin embargo, mi amor por ti
Fue incondicional
Y demasiado sentimental
Fui demasiado ingenuo contigo.
Lo intenté, lo intenté
Y perdí el sueño en vano
Siempre estuve sufriendo
Lloré, lloré
Como si estuviera loco
Por el terrible dolor.
Lo intenté sin éxito
Lloré de vez en cuando
Cómo fallé miserablemente
Para ganar tu corazón
Me sentí profundamente herido
Y estaba sangrando profusamente
Internamente
Y eternamente.
