I Tried

I tried to be the one for you, I tried to be forever true. Maybe you were simply afraid, and that is why you never stayed. Every time you'd get so close, which is what I've missed the most. You'd tend to suddenly pull away, and maybe didn't know what to say. Still you left me hanging all alone, even after all the affection you'd shown. Leading me into believing your in, allowing my feelings to grow within. Next thing I knew you were gone, left me to wonder where I went wrong. I wondered if it might have been me, then I opened my eyes so I could see. All I did was try to care, next thing I knew you were not there. Are you afraid of something good? cause I was alone right where I stood. I realized that you were wrong, the signs were there all along. I guess I thought you'd come around, you started to for a while I found. In the end you still took it away, I waited until I got fed up one day. Now I question if you still exist, know inside your still a bit missed.
