I Tossed a Poem Away Today

I tossed a poem away today a crumpled wad of tortured thought it shivers on a city street trampled under passing feet no longer has it eyes to feed poetically a tumbleweed broken, twisted, lonesome thought wondering why it was tossed. John G. Lawless ©8/3/2019

I feel that the words become almost an entity, myself. Anything in the process, unused, was still instrumental. Not put in gutter or shelfed. Then to be in gutter ballet, inconsequential, kicked around, lonely afraid? Maybe burn unused poetry and send it on a warriors-River- pyre. Or eat it, bitter in the mouth but in the stomach, sweet as honey. Spice o soulfire. Great thoughts of hearts trying to find words and that Sacredness in a clever way or real way, here. Enjoyed.

Hello John Lawless, so why did you toss the poem away? Just wondering. Have a nice evening my friend.
