I Took My Time

I walked so cautiously
each step another distance too long
this dangerous moment passed
my eyes closed in the siren's new song

Next step i take and overcome
my feet are hushed now the pain is gone
with three small sighs i look to the water
fall to the endless pit and began to wonder

what it would be like if I ran.
