I Thought of You

I thought of you today
In a special type of way

I was walking by a garden
“Discount plants for bargain”

I decided to enter this habitat 
And I thought of you, who would have expected that?

When I saw the purple pansies
The ones that you had fancied 

Or when I smelled the twirling tulips
I began to feel quite foolish

The dainty daffodils 
Offered me a thrill

I kissed the reddening roses
Just as I started to notice

These flowers, all bloomed 
I thought again of you

Of your beauty, your love, and your hurt
My forever flower, planted in the dirt
