I Thought
I thought I liked the broken;
It turns out I thought wrong.
Sad stories sounded golden,
But you’re a happy song.
I thought I liked the sadness,
But his tore me apart,
And all you bring is madness,
But you’re a piece of art.
I thought blue eyes appealing,
But his made me rethink.
You’re somehow so intriguing,
And into you I’ll sink.
I thought I liked his purpose,
But miserable was I.
You make me feel so worth it;
I like feeling alive.
