I Thought

I thought we were going to be together and our love would last long,

I thought we were meant to be happy but I thought wrong.

I would have dreams at night about you and me,

And think that one day we would be so happy.

I thought we were happy you and I,

And that with you I would never cry.

But now I've taken all I could take,

And when I went with you that was my biggest mistake.

So now I'm living a good life and I'm flying with the doves,

I just wanted you to know that I was your one and true love!
