I Think Us Perfect
he meet a woman
and found her to be enchanting
her words, her meaning, her purpose
she redefined what perfect company was
I loved seeing her in my home
I loved hearing her voice
her presence commanded award
each performance she made me feel
loved
her words restricted me from troubling,
wondering and straying
she loved me and allowed all who knew me
to know that she wished to be with me
as wife and lover
i felt satisfied and relieved that
I didn't have to court her
she knew her responsibility as lover and
made me feel man enough to
not feel constricted by her times where she was
against me
we talked through differences
we compromised when things were
full of tension
she never shamed me in public
and neither did I shame her
I allowed her to speak of
others as worthy of being kind
or worthy enough to be considered
Something I learned from her, it allowed us
to talk about things
that were businessed by need
and person. For example, she spoke of
a gentlemen who wished us
( my wife and I) to purchase
his truck, it was used but he
found it more engaging to deal with
my wife as he liked the
way she carried her self.
I allowed it it was often beneficial
to our family and business structure.
I married her when I was twenty
and have been fortunate enough
to love her everyday since.
