I Thank You
I thank you for coming into my life
When bleakness had settled in.
I thank you for taking my hand when
I was low in spirit and needed a friend.
I thank you for bringing the smile
Back to my lips,
The tingle to my finger tips;
For smoothing the frown from
My brow and most of all,
For loving me, the best way,
You knew how!
