I Take You With Me
Breathe in the now salty air of yesterday
Hear again the waves upon the shore
Feel my hand gently touch upon yours
Days like that, I wish that there were more
Time has made itself our greatest enemy
Wedging there between us, a barrier strong
Though, it’s just like yesterday that I had found you
And within your life, I knew that I’d belong
My passing is not one that I had welcomed
We knew that one day it was sure to end
Be happy in the love that we had shared then
Be happy in the love to you, that I now send
Hear then upon the breeze, so gentle, blowing
My voice as it so calls to you from here
My love, I hold you deeply now, eternal
Though gone from you, I still hold you ever near
