I Survived You

There was a time when you could break me
I thought I would die when you left me
Then I got out of bed and felt stronger
I won’t let you control me any longer
I won’t let you hurt me again
I don’t want to hear you explain

You stole my heart
Then ripped it apart
Can’t believe what you put me through
Can’t believe I trusted you
But I survived you
Yeah, I survived you
Oh, I survived you

You leave so many girls with a broken heart
But now, because of you, I’m smart
I’m gonna find someone who treats me right
When I’m scared he’ll hold me tight
You can’t hurt me anymore
I won’t be fooled no more

i really like this...it's inspirational to women out there who are afraid..of being alone..thinking they can't make it on their own. I had to experience this myself. Thank you for sharing this...i hope this speaks to many others as well :)
