I Stay a Star

I am the light that brights the sky,
When all the earth is dark and dry.
If you near me you will burn,
While days go on I tend to turn.
When I fall you turn to wish,
But do not fear I shall not miss.
If the sky is covered I'm gone,
But please don't fret I'm still upon
Through the night and up to dawn.
When you look up to the sky,
You'll observe I never die.
Don't come for me I'm too far,
For in the sky I stay a star.
