I Spoke To the Moon
The moon had long since it spoke to me
About its pearly star
I ask her to sit in my bed
So I could take from her a spoon of light
One summer evening I saw her at my window
And opened it right away
Chasing her was a radiant star
But she could not come to me and stay
The moon had long since talked with me
About loves born through the centuries
While I prayed with my heart and hands
For just a little residual light from its star
The moon had long since talked with me
Promising and expected to come one day
On my Handrail a full-blown rose
Was a gift from all miracles I prayed
I spoke to the Moon about the golden rose
Precious this gift and full of worth
"The beautiful star was the one followed after
Sweet this kind of life through the thorns...
I spoke to the Moon late last night
Now she is my beautiful and pure friend
When she is mad, I talk to the star
When I feel lonely, she offers me her hand…
