I Should Have Seen
Upon the dilution, of reality with dream
The findings were astounding as it wasn’t what it seemed
The minute that I dreamed aloud, making them true
Was when I then realized, my dream was of you
Attention to the obvious was not a strength of mine
As many times I’ve overlooked the easiest to find
There you were, just the same, as always, just for me
I overlooked the obvious, yes, I didn’t even see
You were there all the time and now I know it to be true
The love I had been looking for has always been with you
