I Shall Go

If space is what you demand of me
I shall leave you all the room
Pack my bags and feelings
and reside - solitary - on the Moon

If this is still within your space
I shall go place our distance far
Set my tent on yonder side
of the celestial planet Mars

Alas! This distance fails to please you
this circumference I set between us
I will pull my tent and travel on
and settle on distant Venus

If I have failed to keep you satisfied
and friendship cannot be done
and remembrance is what torments you
I shall set out for the Sun!
