I Sent Up a Prayer
I wasn't able to send you flowers;
Nor to send you any food.
Yet I did send something,
Which I know you could use.
I bowed down on my knees,
And sent up a prayer to God.
I asked Him not to let you;
Take this death too hard.
I prayed a sincere prayer,
I knew my prayer He heard.
As the Holy Spirit made intercession;
And I uttered every word.
And He in turn;
Comforted you.
And the passing of your loved one,
He will see you through.
And He will reassure you;
In this direction.....
Your loved one you will see again,
In the resurrection.
I Corinthians chapter 15
