I Seek No Attention

My beauty distorts at your
Absence in my world,
Tears of rejection I see
When I look into the mirror.
But I forgive your absent in my life,
For unforgiving is the cause of injustice.

I hold onto my bosom
The breads of pity,
Isn't it privileged that I am a woman?
Isn't it right that I seek love?

The power to be who I am
A woman,
Makes me who I am,
The only strength to move on
Lies in my hands as
A woman.

When the drummers seek me,
Tell them my legs are weak
When the flutist wants me,
Let him seek another in the house
Because my mouth is long gone

But,
Let men go on with their madness;
Soon, that thing between their legs shall
Ceased to interest woman and their warmth
Shall be useless to womanhood.
I seek no attention anyway.
