I See Myself Today
An invisible person is what I seem to be,
It’s as though I stand in a crowd but no one can see.
Things I say seem to go unheard,
As I form my lips to send forth my word.
I wave my arms and jump about,
I feel the rush of words as I try to shout.
Please look at me I’m standing here,
But I must be transparent, my body clear.
Then I feel His hand on me,
And He says I am God, and I do see.
You are my child, I made you, son,
To me you are a special one.
Understand just who you are,
And when I made you I lit another star.
You are so precious in my sight,
Son, you know I made you right.
Someday I hope that you will know,
How much I truly love you so.
On that day, you turn it loose,
In the mirror you will see my image, that only you produce.
