I See Hope
Somewhere behind this tall mountain
I know there's hope waiting for me.
Amidst the scorching touch of its angry skin,
I breathe hope.
Somewhere beyond this impregnable darkness
I know there's Light waiting for me
To put a halt to its unwanted reign.
Though pestered by its armies of embalmed
despair,
I see hope.
Even in the centre of this stubborn storm
I know calmness is coming
To get its hold off my boat
And sail me safely home.
Though shaken by its forceful tilts,
I see hope.
When I race and fall over the stinky mud of this
life,
Still I perceive the fragrance of hope.
When I slipped over the steep of this world,
The soothing touch of hope I feel upon my cheek
And the softness of its whisper gets me back on
my feet.
Hope, I sense you
For here I am breathing still.
