I See a Narcissus Lurk
Minds stratified in complexity
The layers different in all living
The psyche forms unique entity
On alien parasites it won’t cling.
In deep layers many secrets hide
Search of sub-conscious can’t find
Probing calls from world outside
Echo, can’t enter the closed mind.
A lone prisoner of own making
A cocoon in introvert isolation
I see all the ugly faces receding
Me stuck in web of self-adulation.
My clouded mind turns Nemesis
Makes a mirror of mirage for me
I look into it reaching the oasis
It is only me that I always see.
In self-adoration, a mad perception
I see a Narcissus in me lonely lurk
A secret morphing into obsession
Lies buried, insulated in the dark.
