I search for me

I wander, lost, with heart astray
Seeking the truth, the self I've known
Through paths that wind, where darkness is sown

The forgotten shelf, where memories sleep
Echoes of the past, in whispers creep
The footsteps I've taken, where do they lead?
Through labyrinths of thought, where doubts proceed

In the mirror's gaze, I search for a face
A reflection of truth, in a uncertain place
Is that the me, who stands before my eyes?
Or just a shadow, of a distant surprise?

The pages of my past, like autumn leaves
Crisp and worn, with stories that deceive
Words and memories, like whispers in the night
Secrets untold, in the silence of forgotten light

Who has truly looked, into the depths of time?
Where have I been, in the silence of forgotten rhyme?
In the stillness of the night, I hear a call
To seek the truth, and stand tall

The winding road, that stretches far and wide
Leads me to the edge, of the unknown tide
Where the horizon meets the sky
And the truth I seek, begins to come alive

In the silence of forgotten times
I'll find my way, through the shadows that align
And when the dawn, breaks through the night
I'll stand as one, in the light of my true sight.
