I Saw Pride In My Flag Today

Traveling I looked above my head

I saw the most beautiful combined thread

It was ole glory glimmering white blue and red

She embraced me with pride

I took a deep breath

And release a sigh

Thanking God we did not fail

The God in us all that we hail

One nation answering one call

knowing divided we fall

So we rose together

Fighting with one another

with love in our hearts

In this great nation

made up of individual parts

But only one story to mention
