I Saw My Death Again
Really it has come into view again,
An unwelcome sight at the the end of another terrible year in which,
I failed to romanticise Britain,
Like I used to when I was young,
I've almost lost faith in the old ways,
My death ahead,
Deadly night enclosing with clinging fingers,
And the sewing left undone.
