I Saw God Today

I saw God today
in the early morning light
I saw him smiling in the sun rise
as he led me from the night
I saw his almighty hands
In the trees there all around
I knelt down at his feet
In the green grass on the ground
I heard his booming voice
as a distant thunderstorm passed by
I saw his loving eyes
In the clear blue morning sky
I saw his arms reach out
with his mighty staff and rod
I witnessed the presence of our father
today I saw our loving God
