I Saw God But Now What?

One day, when my son was two, he said, seemingly out of the blue, "Daddy, I love you." Inexplicably, I felt a jolt, as if struck by a gentle lightning bolt. I looked into his eyes and to my shock and surprise, they were glowing, like bright sunshine showing. I kept thinking "That's odd", but, upon reflection, realized that I had seen God. He was revealing Himself in my son's beautiful face. But what did I do to deserve His grace? My life has been no remarkable tale; many times I've struggled, many times I've failed. Through my memories I search and sift; Why, what have I ever done to earn this gift? Maybe, just maybe, it's the knowledge that I have a good heart, and God said "You're a good dad. You're doing your part."
