I Saw A Runnerman

First, there were high winds against my roof of tin
Then, along came lots of lightning and loud thunder
Next, a rooster crowed and afterwards, I saw a hen
Next, there came a forceful gushing rain; not a shower
It was a day in which weather forecasting was hard to tell
But there quickly followed a blasting of sizable hale
What came next looked like a frightened 'Runnerman'.
