I Repent

Knew well mistakes made; How can I forget?
At this age now mind likes to travel back;
Know my drawbacks, past thoughts makes me upset.

You felt, 'twas not right on my part, but yet
asked for your love, tell me what did I lack?
Knew well mistakes made; How can I forget?

Feigning happiness, how to change mindset.
Don't know, why I believed you will comeback;
Know my drawbacks, past thoughts makes me upset.

'twas not an auspicious time when our eyes met
else our relation should have been on track;
Knew well mistakes made; How can I forget?

Later realized you won't come, but yet
couldn't realize truly what did I lack?
Know my drawbacks, past thoughts makes me upset.

Decades passed, but till now I am obsessed;
I repent, daydreaming on the flashback.
Knew well mistakes made; How can I forget?
Know my drawbacks, past thoughts makes me upset.
