I Remember
I remember that first day love
came to rest, the pulsing veins
and beating chest. When senses
flew with angels high, when all
was love before the eye.
When you came and took my
soul, took of me and made me
whole. I remember when desire
was fetched and upon my pores
your fragrance etched.
Those pale blue skies, and the
tenderness that filled your eyes,
how could I forget, or that day
regret.
When lips met and dreams came
true, that wish granted in finding
you. The fulfilment of that kiss,
and left me in a state of bliss.
