I Remember

I remember our enchanted walk
Across the sand hand in hand
Towards the ebbing tide
Just you and I

Nobody else exist to me
Boy did your eyes gleam
I breath the air deeply
And smile
You would glance for along while

Pull me close
I remember the kiss the most
So long and warm
I could have stayed till dawn
We laughed and ran

Soaking in our love
Like rays
We are so happy
With our hands we would draw
Two hearts in the sand
And say may these two hearts never break
When they do
May they become one together?
In gods kingdom

But as the years past
Different things made us part
And our love lost its spark
Many a night the beach I walk
Remembering our talks

Our hearts have disappeared
The waters have covered it
Just like the hands of time
I said goodbye
But always within my heart
Until the day I depart
Will be my memories of you
And our enchanted walk

Owen, this is tender, nostalgic, and full of heart. You captured the beauty of young love and memory in a way that feels deeply personal, and the beach imagery carries the emotion beautifully from beginning to end. I especially loved the image of the hearts in the sand being washed away by time—it’s simple, but it holds so much meaning. Bittersweet, sincere, and beautifully remembered.
