I Recall

I recall some time ago a young man had such hope for this
Country and the path we should follow.
I remember his stirring speech so long ago.
The words that seem to echo even today.
His large boisterous family was our dynasty,
And each member of his clan was considered our royalty.
But that young man was taken from us too soon,
Only to be followed by his brother and again a nation and world mourned.
I often wonder if they are looking down and what do they hope to see?
Will there be a return of that dynasty?
Will we see in that oval office another young man named Kennedy?
