I Read a Psalm Today

I read a psalm** today,                    ** Psalm 46
and it was so refreshing,
Yes, to my wearied spirit,
it truly was a blessing.

It spoke of how I need not fear,
no matter what befalls me,
Because my God is always near,
and in His love He calls me.

His are the streams that make me glad,
And I know I shall not be moved,
Yes, every time that I've been sad,
His love for me He has proved.

"Be still, and know that I am God",
He ever calls out to me,
Your earthly path I've also trod,
Put all of your trust in Me.

You'll not be disappointed,
who bring your needs to Me,
for your God is ever faithful,
Just come to Me and see.

Exalt Me as your Savior,
And come to Me in prayer,
I'm always watching o'er you,
And I always will be there.

I read a psalm today,
And it was so refreshing,
Yes, to my wearied spirit,
It truly was a blessing.
